THE MUNROS. A BREATHTAKING SELECTION OF MALTS
The challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to conquer Scotland's Munros. Either you could elect to climb all 282 Scottish mountains – called Munros, each one standing majestically over 3,000ft.
Alternatively, for something far less exerting, you could savour any of our lofty collection of fine Cask Strength Single Malt Whiskies – each one as unique in character, as any a Munro mountain.

The Special Editions
The Munros 1989 Macallan
THE PEAK OF PERFECTION
The pinnacle of our single cask Munros collection – an exquisite cask strength single malt distilled at the Macallan Distillery.
Carefully nurtured since the cask was filled on 26th January 1989, this perfectly matured nectar has, in just over 30 years, reached its peak and thus we feel it is finally ready to be bottled and savoured by the lucky few.
The maturation in a sherry seasoned oak cask imparts this single malt with a rich dark colour. During this time it has lost little in character – with a final strength of 49.1%. What little that has been lost in terms of alcoholic strength has been more than made up for in the complexity
and richness of flavour and aroma. It offers a host of sensory pleasures and a truly
memorable taste.
This ultra-rare premium whisky is perfectly complimented by an extra-special lead-free crystal decanter and copper stopper - hand-engraved and made exclusively for us by Glencairn Crystal. The decanter is housed in a lacquered mahogany veneered presentation box lined with cream velvet - created by our master craftsmen friends at Abercorn.
Nothing has been left to chance with this strictly limited The Munros 1989 Macallan – it will never be available again, and this rare experience should not to be missed by any true single malt connoisseur and Munros enthusiast.
Colour - Deep amber like an Autumnal forest
Nose - Hints of allspice, citrus, dried fruits with a wisp of oak
Taste - Full flavoured with heady mix of spiciness and warm aromatics
Finish - Sweet with developing layers of multisensory delights
