In the shadow of the eponymous mountain, the Ben Nevis distillery has produced a single malt whisky of character since 1825.  At its peak, this spectacular dram has a deep, complex and attractive taste.  Mainly due to being matured in American Oak barrels, which have helped the whisky sit through some of the toughest conditions Scotland can muster; rain, wind and snow - with no ill effect.

Nose  – Round, dried fruits with a hint of citrus
Taste  – Light, floral, almonds with soft smoke in background
Finish  – Butterscotch and very moreish, would complement coffee and chocolate

Glenallachie is one of the younger distilleries in the ‘holy grail’ of the Speyside region.  But what in lacks in history, it certainly makes up for in its Single Malt. Whist being the youngest whisky in our Munros range, it has spent its whole life in first fill Sherry wood, so has matured to be something to behold.

Ledaig 21 Year Old Single Malt

A fascinating Single Malt that encompasses the Islands style of whisky; but with an added layer of refinement, that’s not often found. It’s history dates back to 1798 when John Sinclair established Ledaig distillery on the Isle of Mull. However, you don’t have to be a fan of peaty whisky to enjoy Ledaig; but if you are, you’ll have found heaven.
